Volunteer With Us

For updates on our volunteering opportunities follow us on twitter @METROCharity #METROcommunity.

Whether you want to give something back to the community, learn a new skill, meet new people or all of the above, METRO has a volunteer opportunity for you!

METRO has a Gold Certificate from the Volunteer Centre Lewisham for Good Practice in Volunteer Management.

Our volunteers need to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, in some cases enhanced, depending on your role.

What you can expect from your volunteering with us

METRO has over 30 years experience of providing opportunities for volunteers to get involved in our services. We couldn't do all the fantastic work we do helping people who access our services without the tireless contribution of dedicated volunteers.

When you volunteer with us, you can expect to be treated with fairness, reimbursed for out of pocket expenses, receive training relevant to your role, get involved in organisational issues, and be provided with ongoing support and supervision.

To discuss volunteering with us, speak to Peter Vittles, Head of Community Engagement or Helen Barnes, Human Resources Manager
