Youth
Counselling
Got a problem
you need to talk through with someone?
The Metro
Centre offers confidential counselling for young LGB people.
This is a place to talk through problems with a worker or counsellor,
look at options, and bring about change. This can be on a wide range
of issues: coming out (or staying in), work, homophobic bullying,
confidence, sex, drugs and alcohol, HIV/AIDS, loneliness and depression,
sexual abuse, racism, relationship and family problems, the gay scene
and much more.
If being in a
group seems too much or if you need some extra time to sort stuff
out, then give us a call. You could access weekly sessions with the
same worker to explore the difficulties you are having and work towards
changes you would like to make. We’ll support and encourage
you and refer you to other services if necessary.
