Volunteering
The Metro Centre
in Greenwich is a Lesbian, Gay & Bisexual Centre where we aim
to provide support services for LGB peoples. We have a range of volunteering
opportunities available. Our volunteer roles are always evolving due
to the changes in service provision, its needs and the valuable input
and skills of our volunteers.
If you have some
regular spare time and would like to make a commitment to a very worthwhile
cause we can offer long, short-term and one off volunteering opportunities.
We have a full professional recruitment and selection process, part
of which is a volunteer induction day. If you are accepted as a volunteer,
you may have a further interview to go forward into your team, if
accepted to a specific team you will receive further training to enable
you to fulfill your role.
ALL
our volunteers have to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check, in
some cases enhanced, depending on your role.
PLEASE be aware
that changes to all Volunteer Policies and Procedures are imminent
as we are currently undertaking a full review of all our Volunteer
Policies and Procedures.
