Mentoring
for HIV negative guys
Need
a hand to stay HIV negative? Want to lend a hand to help someone stay
HIV negative? If you answered ‘yes’ to either of these
questions, why not try peer mentoring?
Metrosafe
is an award winning (see below) 5 month program that lets you explore
the emotional side of HIV prevention one-to-one with a peer you can
relate to. If this sounds like too much of a commitment or if you're
just not sure, why not try Short Term Mentoring?
This service allows you to chat informally to the Metrosafe
coordinator about your HIV prevention concerns, no strings
attached. Afterwards, it's up to you to decide whether or not you
want to join the program.
Metrosafe
is also always looking for gay and bisexual men of all ages who think
their experience might be put to good use as mentors helping members
of their community stay HIV negative. All mentors are fully trained
before being placed and receive ongoing support and supervision.
If
you want to know more, please contact Scott.

The Metro Centre has recently launched, in Partnership with HarbourTrust,
a mentoring programme aimed specifically at black and minority ethnic
men who have sex with men. If you would like culturally sensitive
help to remain HIV negative, please email Rory
or telephone him on 07872 692 301.
Metrosafe
has recently won the prestigious GlaxoSmithKline
Impact Award for programs that make a difference in their
community. Click on the image below to find out more.
